Jacob Serfas
Founder & Managing Partner
Jake grew up in a hardworking, blue-collar family. At just 14, he was working in industrial construction side by side with his father, learning early that success comes from showing up every day, taking pride in your work and giving 100%. That work ethic never left him.
After earning his degree in business administration from Stevenson University, Jake started his career at a big-name brokerage firm. He quickly grew frustrated. As a captive advisor, his job was to sell the firm’s limited menu, not to truly serve the people sitting across the table. So he walked away and built something better. Today, he leads Copper Creek as an independent advisor, with the freedom to put clients first and access the tools that actually fit their needs.
Jake is the author of “Permission to Spend: What to Do When Your Paycheck Stops and Retirement Begins” and the host of the TV show “Money Matters.” He has passed the Series 65 securities exam and is an Investment Adviser Representative. He is also a Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant and is licensed in life and health insurance and retirement income planning.
